OET is known as The Occupational English Test. As the name describes it is an English language test for healthcare professionals which recognized by various regulatory healthcare bodies especially in English Speaking Countries like the UK, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc., This test is mainly for nonnative English speakers who wish either register or practice in English nations. This test is used as proof of English as it is designed to assess the English language skills of healthcare professionals who wants to study or work in countries where English is the mode of communication.Initially OET was owned by Australian National Office for Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) but now the test is owned by Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust (CBLA). OET is mainly for healthcare workers especially for the 12 following professions: Nurses, Doctor, Dietetics, Dentistry, Occupational Therapist, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Speech Pathology and Veterinary Science. Though it is available for 12 medical professions, Mostly Doctors and Nurses prefer to take it a lot.
